If you want to master an almost perfect accent, first, you must know this isn’t just about passing exams. This talent will give you extra points on the speaking test and as a result leaving the examiners amazed!
For starters, as an advanced student in this language, I can say that the best advice you’re going to get to improve pronunciation is to listen to other speakers. Of course, it´s worth stepping into the bustling streets of London or the serene landscapes of New Zealand and by paying careful attention to how the words are spoken and pronounced you’ll know exactly how to reproduce them yourself.
Nevertheless, this is sometimes not possible to some people, so listening to a lot of English music and movies will do the trick.
Picture yourself sitting by the window with your headphones on hearing a podcast in English and understanding perfectly every word as well as knowing how to pronounce it, or even imagine that you’re in another country, immersed in other people´s conversation, letting thousands of words in English pass through your ear. Wouldn´t that be great? That is the best part of learning a language, and I assure you that having clear pronunciation will only add to your confidence in reaching proficiency.
